He loves to be busy and because he’s such a smart little guy, boredom can become an issue if he doesn’t receive the mental stimulation and physical activity he needs. This smart, energetic pooch is highly social and just loves to be in the center of all things “family”. And you are the best puppy mom I have ever encountered.The spirited Golden Dox is a playful family dog that brings together the stubborn, feisty personality of the little Dachshund and the gentle, super-friendly nature of the Golden Retriever. I could not think of a better quarantine buddy to brighten up our day. 😉 She is earning most of her meal in training and the rest we put in a little food dispenser ball that she happily pushes around and gobbles up the kibble that’s drop out as she expertly maneuvers it around the room. Wow, I have never seen a puppy learning that fast. Now also „down“, „let’s go“, and we are making progress on „ stay“ and „ drop it“. Only One treat for the first time, everything after does not get rewarded any more. So, she actually figured out that if she spares some pee and squats several times, she will get several treats. She is getting a treat when she does her business. She is so incredibly smart, it’s sometimes hard to believe she is only 9 weeks old.
GOLDEN DOXIE PATCH
A couple of accidents here and there, but most of the time we catch her before anything happens, and she always does her business right away when we put her on the grass patch we have on the patio. And when she wakes up, she quietly plays until we take her out of the playpen. She just crawls in there and rests when she is tired. She accepted her crate as if she had never known any other place to rest. Yesterday we left her home when we went on a walk and she never barked or whined and was fast asleep when we returned. But she loves to cuddle too, and she can busy herself well too without complaint. She loves to play and has lots of playful energy when she chases behind a toy or plays tug of war. And she has such a sweet disposition Everything goes for her. She gets so excited every time she sees us. She is already so comfortable here and so attached. I can’t imagine we only had her for a week.
∽ear Michele, I just wanted to be in touch and tell you what an absolute blessing Jovie is in our lives. On the other hand They will alert their owner if they feel endangered. They do not make great guard dogs as everyone is a friend. The Taylormade Mini Golden is Friendly, Confident, and wonderful with children. Great Personality, diluting the gene pool of 3 great breeds helps bring out the best traits in the Mini Golden Retriever, in our opinion. Less shedding, because the spaniels used in our lines had very minimal shedding and the poodle was non-shedding, this helps to reduce the shedding in our mini goldens. We use small Golden Retrievers in our breeding program in combination with the Cocker Spaniel, and sometimes poodle to breed down the size of our dogs. Golden Retrievers are generally 65-100 lbs. Smaller size, my goal is a smaller size around 25-50 lbs and about 12-15 inches tall. The puppies tend to take on more of the Golden Retriever look but not always. We test with OFA, Embark genetics, Paw Print Genetics, and Penn Hip. We do health testing on our parents dogs to ensure we are breeding top Quality. Hip dysplasia, eye problems, and ear infections can be dramatically reduced in this combination of breeding. We register our dogs with the International Designer Canine Registry. A miniature Golden Retriever is a hybrid mix between a golden retriever, a cocker spaniel, and sometimes Poodle.
